The GSUN ’25 Summit will be hosted by The University of Queensland in the vibrant city of Brisbane, Australia.  Join us at the elegant Stamford Plaza, nestled on the banks of the Brisbane River, for two days of ground-breaking discussions, collaboration, and innovation — happening on Thursday 11 September to Friday 12 September 2025.

Queensland Academy of Sport Research and Innovation High Performance Summit

Queensland Academy of Sport Research and Innovation High Performance Summit 9 September 2025   
Supporting Partner: The University of Queensland

The Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) empowers and equips athletes with the skills to thrive, inspire and perform as an athlete and as a person. At this one-day Summit, you'll gain insights from QAS and industry leaders while championing PhD students as they showcase their ground-breaking research in a concise, engaging, and thought-provoking manner. A tour of the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre will also be offered to GSUN delegates in attendance on the day.

Date: Tuesday 9 September 2025
Time: 8am for 8:45am-4:30pm (followed by optional drinks at Customs House from 5:30pm)

Bus for Queensland Academy of Sport Research and Innovation High Performance Summit

Complimentary bus transfers will be available to and from the event. Registrations for bus transfers are essential.

  • Bus Trip 1: Departs 8am from Stamford Plaza Brisbane, 39 Edward Street, Brisbane QLD → QSAC, Kessels Road, Nathan QLD.

  • Bus Trip 2: Departs 4:45pm from QSAC, Kessels Road, Nathan QLD → Customs House, 399 Queen Street, Brisbane QLD.

Optional Drinks following Queensland Academy of Sport Research and Innovation High Performance Summit

Following the Summit, delegates are invited to join for informal networking over drinks at one of Brisbane’s most iconic venues. This is a great opportunity to connect with colleagues, speakers, and peers in a relaxed setting overlooking the Brisbane River.

Led by friendly student guides, experience first hand how the university champions academic excellence, athletic prowess, and vibrant community engagement — all while adding to your daily step count!
