His work is closely connected to practice, with collaborations spanning digital hardware start-ups, manufacturing firms, business accelerators, fintech unicorns and some of the world's largest retailers. Before UQ he was a Senior Research Fellow at QUT Business School, where he managed the collaborative research programme with Woolworths, and earlier worked as a business intelligence consultant at Hewlett-Packard and a CRM specialist at IBM.
