  • A chance to spot lava lizards and Darwin finches on the walk to Las Grietas, a crystal-clear swimming hole tucked between volcanic cliffs

  • Encounter giant tortoises at the conservation centres on Santa Cruz and Isabela Islands 
  • Visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, a hub for conservation and research into the islands’ unique ecosystems

Cost guide: $5,094 per person twin share (excluding airfare)
Single supplement: $479 (subject to availability)

 
Booking process
1. Complete this registration form with the number of guests and your rooming preferences. If tickets are sold out you can join our waitlist and we will be in touch if places become available.

2. You will receive a confirmation email from UQ and a representative from Flight Centre will contact you within 2 working days to finalise your booking. UQ will provide a list of alumni travellers to Flight Centre for eligibility purposes.

3. A $350pp non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking with Flight Centre.

4. Flight Centre will confirm travellers' bookings and payments with UQ.

 
Payment schedule

Upon booking confirmation $350 non-refundable deposit per traveller
Monday 10 November 2025 $1000 per traveller is due
Friday 19 December 2025 Remaining balance is due


UQ will collect a modest processing fee for each booking, and these funds directly contribute to supporting the UQ Alumni Travel program.

Travel insurance

You must take out comprehensive travel insurance for each traveller before participating on your tour. Your insurance protection must include cover for cancellation, medical and repatriation expenses, personal injury and accident, death, loss or damage of personal baggage, loss of money and personal liability insurance. Evidence of such insurances must be produced on request and normally when your final payment is due. 


Privacy

The University of Queensland (UQ) collects the information in this form to manage your registration for the nominated tour in the UQ Alumni Travel Program.

UQ will disclose the information you provide to our travel partner - Flight Centre - for the purposes described under "Booking process steps". UQ will not otherwise disclose your information to a third party without your agreement, except in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009 and other relevant privacy laws.
