About this scholarship

The IWES Regional Wastewater Treatment scholarship encourages and supports Australian Indigenous peoples and professionals living and working in remote communities to undertake the IWES course “Regional Wastewater Treatment: Principles, Practices and Innovations”.

 

Scholarship value: $2,600

Number awarded: May vary

Applications open: 8 September 2025

Applications close: 6 March 2026

 

Eligibility

You’re eligible if you’re:

  • an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person

  • an employee of a remote council area

  • an employee of a council area with a significant population of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples
